On November 29th, 2022, the National Electric Surfboard Open kicked off in Lanxi, Jinhua, Zhejiang. This event, hosted by the Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, has 4 competition categories and 10 events, attracting 77 athletes from 18 teams to compete fiercely.

In recent years, the emerging water sport of electric surfboards has been deeply loved by teenagers due to its strong operability, entertainment, and competitiveness. This competition marks the first time that electric hydrofoil surfboards have been included as a performance event and a public category has been added, aiming to further promote the sport of power surfing and drive the development of the water sports industry.

In this competition, the Qingdao Motorboat Sports Association sent four elite team members to compete with domestically produced black technology electric hydrofoils. After intense group matches, all four members of the Qingdao team advanced with excellent results from the top two in the group, ultimately achieving good results of first, second, fifth, and sixth place. Among them, Liu Jiliang's skills surpassed the rest and won the championship of the electric hydrofoil surfboard exhibition competition. After the game, we contacted Liu Jiliang who was far away in Zhejiang. The 50 year old champion couldn't hide his excitement: "This is my first national championship in life! This year, I first crossed the Qiongzhou Strait, and now I have won the first national championship of hydrofoil board. I have proven through my actions that I am still young and can still handle the fashionable sports of these young people.

As a senior water sports expert, Liu Jiliang admitted that although he has always loved sports such as motorboats and hydrofoils, he used to play in the water by the seaside in Qingdao and rarely participated in competitions. This time, he particularly cherished the opportunity to participate and stood out in the competition with young people, putting in tremendous effort behind it: "Drowning and falling are commonplace, but it's all worth it to get on the podium.

In recent years, water sports at the Olympic Sailing Center have gradually become a highlight of summer. Electric hydrofoils, power surfboards and other sports equipment gathered at the dock, attracting tourists to watch. In winter, Liu Jiliang transformed into a snow and ice expert. With his sense of balance in water sports, he is also adept at skiing. In recent years, many water sports enthusiasts have successfully transformed into skiing experts and emerged on social media. Liu Jiliang is one of the outstanding among them. Every winter, he appears at the ski resort to respond to the call of "300 million people on ice and snow" with practical actions and social media influence.

As an extreme sports enthusiast and executive chairman of the Qingdao Motorboat Sports Association, Liu Jiliang successfully unlocked the dual skills of "Ski Master" and "Water Flyer" through the training mode of winter snow and summer water. He looks forward to showcasing the achievements of Qingdao's fashionable sports on a larger platform, promoting water sports and ice and snow sports to become the shining scenery of Qingdao.
