On August 27, 2024, the China Power Surfboard Open (Xinghua Station) was grandly opened at the Taizhou Water Sports Training Base (Xinghua Chenbao Town) in Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province. This event is hosted by the Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Water Sports Management Center of the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Sports Bureau of Taizhou City, and the People's Government of Xinghua City. It is also organized by the Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau of Xinghua City, Xinghua Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., and the People's Government of Chenbao Town, Xinghua City. The event is operated by Hongjian Motorboat Sports Club (Beijing) Co., Ltd. This competition lasts for three days and features 13 events including professional, public, and youth (U10, U13, U16) circular racing and obstacle slalom. A total of 108 athletes from 21 teams including Beijing, Shanghai, and Zhejiang participated, including 75 youth athletes. The number of youth participants continues to grow.

After the spectacular formation of power surfboards and the performance of water flyers, the intense competition officially began. On the surface of the water, powered surfboards fly and fish leap, creating sparkling splashes of water. Athletes are fully focused, flexibly adjusting their direction and speed, sometimes accelerating in a straight line, and sometimes cleverly maneuvering around buoys, demonstrating superb control skills. They constantly challenge themselves and surpass their limits in the pursuit of victory, bringing the audience an exciting visual feast.

It is worth mentioning that the number of young athletes participating in this competition has reached a new high of 75. Teenagers are the future of the country and the hope of the nation, and a strong teenager leads to a strong country. The country attaches great importance to youth sports work and emphasizes that "physical exercise should be regarded as an important way to promote the physical and mental health growth of young people". The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made important arrangements for strengthening youth sports work. The Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China has designed and established a Chinese power surfboard youth training system specifically for young people aged 8 to 16, filling the gap in youth power surfboard training, further standardizing training work, and laying a solid foundation for promoting power surfboard sports, building a reserve talent system, and advancing national level event admission work.

Xinghua, located in the hinterland of Lixia River in Jiangsu Province, belongs to the economic development circle of the Yangtze River Delta. It is the core area of the Jianghuai Ecological Economic Zone, a national ecological demonstration zone, a historical and cultural city in Jiangsu Province, and a comprehensive tourism demonstration zone in Jiangsu Province.

Here, Zhong Lingyu is beautiful, and Zheng Banqiao, one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou and a pioneer of Zhaoyang, has left a lasting legacy. Shi Nai'an, the author of "Water Margin," has been passed down through the ages. Contemporary Xinghua is known for its abundant resources, talented people, and abundant land, and is renowned as the "hometown of Chinese literature" and "hometown of Chinese national symbols" both domestically and internationally. Xinghua adheres to a green foundation, transforming the ecological advantages of agricultural civilization into livable and tourism development advantages, strengthening its tourism brand with ecology, and has successively been awarded the titles of Top 10 Rural Tourism Destination in China, National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Demonstration City, and selected for the CNN "World's Most Beautiful Travel Album List" in the United States.
